Terms of Service

Control Your State is operated by Tonic Data Labs(“we,” “us,” or “the Company”). You can reach us anytime at privacy@controlyourstate.com. By using Control Your State, you agree to these Terms.

Control Your State is an AI-powered tool for wellness exploration, self-reflection, and entertainment. It offers check-ins, reflections, and simple regulation exercises.

It is notmedical, psychological, or psychiatric care. It does not diagnose, treat, or prescribe, and using it does not create a professional or therapeutic relationship of any kind. The AI’s voice and style are a design choice, not a credential.

Control Your State is not a crisis service and does not monitor for emergencies. If you are in crisis, thinking about harming yourself, or in danger, call or text 988(Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, US) or contact your local emergency services right away. Do not rely on this app in an emergency.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Anonymous use does not require an account.

You are responsible for your sign-in credentials and for activity under your account. Keep your password private. You can use the core check-in experience without an account; an account is only needed to save your baseline across visits.

Reflections and responses are generated by automated AI systems. They can be imperfect, incomplete, or wrong. They are not professional advice and should not be relied on as fact or as a substitute for care from a qualified professional.

Premium memory is offered as a subscription: $7.99/month or $59.99/year, each starting with a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial; your first charge occurs when the trial ends, and your subscription then auto-renews at the plan price until you cancel.

You can cancel anytime from Settings, which opens our billing portal. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep access through the period you already paid for. Payments are processed by Stripe — we never see or store your card number. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments already made are not refunded, but if something went wrong, email us at privacy@controlyourstate.com and we will make it right where we reasonably can.

Don’t misuse the service: no attempting to break, overload, or probe it; no scraping or harvesting content or data; no reselling or white-labeling the service; and no using it to harm others or violate the law.

What you write stays yours. You grant us the limited license we need to operate the service — to store your check-ins and send your words to our AI provider to generate your reflection. The app itself (design, code, brand) belongs to Tonic Data Labs.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that reflections will be accurate or that the service will be uninterrupted.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tonic Data Labs will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for decisions you make in reliance on AI-generated content. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

We may update these Terms; when we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date above, and material changes will be flagged in the app. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms. You can stop using the service, or request account deletion, at any time.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before any formal dispute, you agree to first email us at privacy@controlyourstate.com so we can try to resolve it informally within 30 days.
